I was bitten two days ago on my departed index finger and it's swollen and throbbing. The bite may have bruised my knuckle bone. Do you muse the swelling is due to infection? or the bruising? I washed it resourcefully and have not put a plaster on. I've also been icing it. Will the swelling progress away on its own?

YES! Go to the doctor. It shouldn't be swollen like that two days following. It sounds like it could be infected, and you could ending up in the hospital if it get any worse. Please get it checked out!
