I agree near "beetle". It sounds an awfully lot like a hernia. Umbilical (belly button) hernias can be relatively small, so if you are even if you are thin or mildly over freight it might be difficult to see. It is unlikely that this is a life threatening problem, but it nouns like you are particularly uncomfortable. So you best bet is to get hold of it checked.
It sounds like it could be a hernia. See the doctor for an exam because he can relay you right away.
