A headache, and it feels like someone has their hands...?
Answer:
I get those and my doctor says they are tension headaches. I don't get nausea with a tension but I get migraines too (which can include nausea) but they are totally different.
Symptoms of a Tension Headache:
Dull, pressure-like
Generalized, worse in the scalp, temples or back of the neck
Not one-sided
Feels like a tight band or vise on the head
Occurs as an isolated incident, or occurs constantly or daily
Worsened or triggered by stress, fatigue, noise, glare
Your health care provider should be consulted -- to rule out other disorders that can cause head pain -- if the headache is severe, persistent or if other symptoms accompany the headache.
Who knows. More importantly, who cares?
I would suggest you phone your doctor and get their advice just to be on the safe side.
i get this with my migraines. could also be blood pressure. many times my migraine meds do not work and i need to see the dr for injections (steroids, pain meds). i would see a dr. if it is migraine there are preventative medications, and also abortive meds. trust me , tylenol or advil will not help. try some coffee or caffiene, cool dark quiet room. try ice pack or cool compress on your neck.
Rub the palms of your feet, take a bath, have some paracetamol, stuff like that.
Ahh...yes!! I thought it was a migraine b/c it was strange and lasted like all day like all over, and on the bottom back of my head . It is probably a tension headache. Excedrin Tension worked for me.
I get very strong headaches. Almost as if I am getting hit in the head by a baseball bat when I get up. it forces me to lower my head, or sit back down. As if someone were squishing my brains or I had an arrrow through it. It would last 24 hours and nothing would take it away. The doctor sent me 600 mg of ibuprofen, but I had to take 2 to get it over with in an hour. I had check ups, mri's and so on. Never found anything wrong. I think they are stress head aches. I do not have high blood pressure and get treated for Thyroid too.
Head aches can be very serious. I would talk to your doctor. I can get to the point where I am paranoid, crying in pain and pulling at my hair or rolling in bed.
it could be tension and high blood pressure. trying taking a low dose aspirin and if that doesn't help take something for tension headache and drink lots of water.
We have treated 15 & 20 yrs Migrains.
There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, sweet fruits, milk with sugar at bed time preferably or meals, rice and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
