i know this sounds hokey, but drinking cranberry juice can help with bladder infections. For a serious infection, you still need antibiotics, but the cranberry juice can help it work more effectively. See if you can find some - maybe at a health food store - that doesn't have added sugar, as the sugar irritates the bladder and defeats the purpose of the whole thing.
Hope this helps!
First of all, urine analysis and culture should be done to actually know the organism that is causing the infection. Then it would be easier to treat your condition and make sure you complete all the antibiotics prescribed or else you develop immunity to them. Drink lots of water.
this really sounds like a bad one and you waited too long.
I go at the first sign of one. I have taken Levaquin before, ask your Dr. It is strong and expensive, but it sounds as if you are needing something really strong. Ask them about shots of really strong antibiotic like they would use in the hospital.
Get well soon.
Well I was going to tell you what works.
It is NOT CRANBERRY Juice from the grocery. It is UNSWEETENED CRANBERRY CONCENTRATE FROM THE HEALTH FOOD STORE.
Mix 8 ounces with a gallon of water---no sugar, sugar feeds an infection. Drink an 8 ounce glass with a straw before every meal.
The acidity of the cranberry will correct the PH in your bladder and urinary tract. My Dad had kidney stones and this came from his specialist and it worked and dissolved the stones.
If you choose not to do it ENJOY THE INFECTION.
The excessive antibiotics have killed off the healthy bacteria in your system and is just making you sicker. Expect a yeast infection next. It always comes after the use of anti biotics.
