I took antibiotics, which i had to take 4 tablets at 1 time, i was sick 6 days later will it still work??
Answer:
yeah it should still work of it was six days later that you were sick. that's more than enough time for it to have been absorbed into your body.
if you still feel ill in a week or so though go back to your doctor xx
You don't say what for, but antibiotics start working almost as soon as you swallow them, which is why you take them frequently to keep them working constantly. It's important to complete the course but don't worry if you "lose" one dose when you're sick. It's very unlikely this will make any difference.
If your problem still hasn't cleared up after you've completed the course, just pop back to the doctor.
Yes I think you will be fine now check with your doctor or practise nurse
I think the rule of thumb is that you have to keep taking antibiotics a couple of days after you have no symptoms, but the docs just give you what usually works. If you didn't do this, then the infection will come back because not all the bacteria were killed.
Mostly antibiotics start to work an hour or two after swallowing. Many bacterias are resistant to some kind of antibiotics. For example acne sufferers use erythromicinum (some propinumbacterias grow a shield which blocks erythromicinum) Then you should use doxycycline. You have a bacteria ,which is most likely to be resistant to antibiotics, you use.
i think i know why you were given this advice. the antibiotics would have been absorbed by now. you are advised to wait 7 days so there is no chance you could re-infect. stay safe and prevent it happening again. you know what i mean.
