The best way to go about it is see a dermatologist. It helped me a lot when I had severe acne. But keep in mind, the medication can only treat it, not cure it. The only way to get rid of acne is to grow older. For girls purberty peaks at around 14-17 and for guys 16-19. After that, it starts to go away. If you're tight on cash, you can always buy generic versions of medication which is pretty much same but a lot cheaper. My dr. perscribed me doryx (pills to treat severe acne). The brand name costs $50 for 15 pills. The generic version cost $15 for 30 pills. Big difference. Good luck.
You need a skin analysis to know. I thought I had oily skin because it was oily and broke out all the time. So i treated for oily skin and it got worse. A skin care analysis revealed that I actually had dehydrated skin. So the pores was clogging. When I started using the right skin care, toner, cleanser, and moisturizer. I have had healthy no acne for a few years now.
Never use hand soap on your face, pat your face dry with the towel do not rub it dry, or let it dry naturally.

You should go to a dermatologist. They can prescribe drugs to correct the situation. This can cause permanent scarring and give yourself a low self esteem. You don't have to live with acne!
Also a doctor can inject the acne with cortisone if it's just a few. They can return over and over without treatment.
