Thyroid --I am confused !?
Answer:
t3 and t4 are the standard tests for hypo/hyper thyroid. Way too many people take medically prescribed meds because of bad numbers on these stupid tests. I suggest evaluating your lifestyle for stresses Physical, chemical, and emotional. Reduce them eat right sleep ect. and redo tests. I would make lifestyle changes and give it 2 or 3 tests so you can see how your life affects the test results. Hormone imbalances will not kill you over night...you have plenty of time to try and avoid taking a med the rest of your life...as once you begin...you will undoubtedly need higher and higher doses.
Yup. I have hypothyrodism. I've been taking medicine (synthroid 100mcg) for years to help with symptoms. However, I've turned to organics and holistic medicines about a year ago and found that with a healthy diet and proper hydration my symptoms are the same as with the medicine. My doctors say that when your T3 and T4 counts are normal, that's what is important. Make some small lifesyle changes- less caffeine, less sugar, regular sleep patterns- for thirty days and then retest. If your Thyroglobulin is still high then discuss treatment for hyperthyrodism.
Get a second and third opinion. See a specialist.
Does anyone in your family have similar problems? If not, you might be able to blast your problem away with special care and attention to your diet. Either way, it can help a lot.
Check out books by Gary Null for using diet as medicine. Look into supplements that may help you.
