Does noxema really work?
well i bought it, put it on, no burning...does that denote it isn't working or is it because his skin is different than mine??
i've also used proactiv...really didn't work
Answer:
I used to use Noxema years ago when I was a youngster and I swore by it, but I got away from it after a while and switched to Clinique's skin exactness line.
What I do very soon is called the Oil Cleansing Method and it's really be working for me. It's a little labor intensive and it take some getting used to putting oil on your facade, but after an initial period of breakouts as things be coming to the surface, my skin is a whole lot better and I've notice that it's much less slimy. Sounds weird, but it's really be working!
Here's a few websites to read up on it. Some of them suggest just using a washcloth, but I've found that an inexpensive facial steamer (by Conair at Bed Bath for just about $20) helps seriously:

Everyone has different body chemistry; if Proactiv didn't do you any worthy, I doubt Noxema will. Your dermatologist will be able to tender you a prescription cream and possibly even an oral medication to help clear up your skin. If you don't own a dermatologist, just ask your nonspecific practitioner.
I've been using Noxema for over 20 years and still use it. I love it. Just because it didn't burn doesn't tight it's not working, it a moment ago means your skin isn't as sensitive as your friends. It never burned me any and it worked beautifully. I broke out beside an occasional zit here and there but save for that I didn't have any problems. I bring in a mixture of St. Ive's Apricot scrub and Noxema that I use everyday and follow up with an grease control astringent. "The astringent does sting". But it works for me.
