I know I have to..?
Answer:
I'm sure some doctors will chime in here, but this is exactly the kind of complication I experience periodically with low blood pressure (the kind called orthostatic hypotension). It first affects my autonomic nervous system, making me feel hot or cold or like it is hard to breathe,; then I get dizzy and if I don't sit down and drink some water, my vision will start to go. If you have problems with low blood pressure, about all a doctor can tell you to do is to drink more water, so that you increase the amount of blood volume. Probably sitting down for a long period is enough to fix it.
Another possible cause is low blood blood sugar or hypoglcemia. Dizziness comes and the world goes to black, Y ou need to sit down or bend down lest Iyou fall over. Then it will pass.
Extreme hypoglycemia could result in the vision fading . Or it might fade completely before passing out. It might be preceded by the sensation of feeling cold. I pass out comparatively often and it sounds very similar to my usual experience. Drink a glass of O.J.
Other poss causes are hunger. Having your arms kept above your head for an extended period, mild pain, hot showers before eating breakfast, having my blood taken (most often; triffecta of needle phobia, tiny unfindable veins, and blood sugar weirdness. You don't necessarily have to be a diabetic, but do probably have some insulin resistance. .
That sounds scary - I'd go see a doctor if only for reassurance.
It might also be a high blood pressure problem. Are you on any medication?
Remember that vision is the first sense to drop when the brain is deprived of oxygen or glucose. The brain only functions on glucose and is not able to derive energy from lipids or proteins. Had your blood sugar level been lower you, probably would have just passed out. I don't know specifically what was happening in your brain but it was beginning to shut down.
you could be dehydrated, have an inner ear infection, have something called labrynthitis, or if your also experiencing hearing loss and ringing in your ears something call menieres disease. i don't know how old you are but it could also be something heart related. you're right...you need to go to your doc and get it checked out. best wishes :)
