My feet are badly calloused and it is hard to walk around, How can I fix this?
Answer:
There is a sugar-based moisturizer at Wal-Mart in a tube, cream colored that you can use to scrub the bottom of your feet. Use it sitting in a tub as it gets very oily and slippery. Rinse them well and keep doing this every other day, it should take care of the old, dead skin. Also, scrubbing with a pumice or a scrungee (balls of nylon webbing with a string loop) will help too. Keeping feet very clean and putting lotion on them regularly will help so much. I know mine feel better whenever I do this. If this doesn't help, see a podiatrist. You may need to have them scrapped.
IF YOU ARE DIABETIC, PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS TO YOUR FEET, ESPECIALLY BETWEEN TOES.
THERE IS A DIFFERENT WAY TO CARE FOR YOUR FEET BEING DIABETIC AND SOAKING FEET IS NOT RECOMMENDED!
go to a foot clinic and have your feet treated.
See a podiatrist. Sometimes, you have to go to the professionals. Good luck. I know it's miserable when your feet hurt.
buy a donkey to ride
You need to see a podiatrist (foot doctor). He or she can remove the calloused skin and make walking more comfortable for you. I think it's pretty painless.
Feel better!
Try lotions or creams containing salicylic acid (0.5%-40%)
or even better urea. it might help to dissolve the callous. also soak them in hot water repeatedly on many days.
Have you tried a pumice stone. they work really well on hard callouses!! You can buy at any drug store or supercenter in foot care aisle. Just soap it up and rub across the callouses- use several times in a couple weeks should do the trick.
