Is it OK for really sick people or people in terminal phase to get the right to euthanasia or assist suicide?
Think twice who ever says that it is crazy to let people decide rather they live or not when they already suffering are lying!
Cause I would ask for it. And really hope for who ever that is helping me too be relived from my pain not to be accused of murder.
Answer:
I think it is the patient's right to choose to stop his/her own suffering. I would think that it is a decision not to be made lightly and there should be some counseling involved beforehand.
i used to be a nurse in oregon where assisted suicide is allowed and i've seen it help many a person end what would have been years of suffering and slowly dying
I absolutely would never ask to die -- but that does not mean that I think that nobody else should be able to do the same. If somebody is terminally ill and is suffering then I don't see how it is the right of anyone else to prolong their suffering. There is no reasonable argument against assisted suicide.
I'd rather be doped up and oblivious while waiting for a miracle cure than end my life early.
It should be the patients right, but like the pro-life issue, we find our self in a Christan country where religion influences civil law.
