They called with all the results of the tests except one! HIV!! Should i call and ask or wait for a call?
Answer:
I would call. They can't tell you the answer to that test result over the phone, for how you may or may not react if the answer was positive. Ask for a nurse to call you back when they get a moment. Explain you never got that answer and you understand why they won't tell you over the phone, but you'd like to know and if you should make an appointment. By saying "should" he/she may say " no nothing to worry about ALL your test were normal." Good Luck and don't worry
call and ask, better safe than sorry
Fridays not over, they may still call, my doctor doesn't get results until after 3pm
Wait until just before their office closes tonight and call then
I don't know of any practice giving HIV results over the phone. Even if they are negative we do not give results over the phone. Its against our laws here in California.
There is no way of knowing you are who you are over the phone. We cannot positively I.D. you over the phone. We make you come in and we give you a copy. The HIV test has to be done every 6 months for at least a year without having unprotected sex for accurate results. The virus could take years to show up in your system once exposed.
HIV tests take a little longer to process than the rest. LArgely because they are done with a lot of anonimoty (you are assigned a number). Be patient. It can take up to 3 weeks for that result.
it takes a while for hiv to be detected in the blood im sure theres nothing to worry about but just call and make sure okay
