Im Asian and I have freckels on cheeks. Does that mean I have less melanin and more prone to skin cancer?

Im Filipino (both my parents are Filipino too). I have freckles from the sun on my cheeks. I am tanned on my face and have gotten sunburnt-with peeling (3 or four times in past while at the beach/pool) Am i more prone to skin cancer than other Asians?

Answer:
I believe that because you have freckles it means that you have a lot more melanin that's why you have freckles...but no just because you have freckles and are asian it does not mean that you are more prone to skin cancer...
just make sure that when you go out to put on some sun block and you should be fine...
hope it helps!
freckles has more melanin hence it is hyperpigmented. Same risk for skin cancer as general population.
