i had my blood drawn on feb.9th for a routine test, how did it happen that when my blood result came the collection date of blood was dated the 13 of feb. i called the clinic they told me that my blood sample was pick up on the 9th together with other patient and i ask them to check if the patient that was drawn blood on the 9th with me was dated the 13th on their blood result, da MA said no the collection date of blood was dated the 09 of feb. i called the lab they were insisting that the blood sample was mine, i'm wondering why it took them so long to process my blood sample if it was mine they waited 5-6 days before processing, it really doenst makes since to me! do u think there is a possible mistake on my blood sample?
Answer:
really in a situation like this i would just go ahead back and have them do another blood test rather be safe then sorry. plus if you just go and do it again there won't be any room for question like. do i have an std? good luck and don't worry you are probaly fine!
yeah it's always a possibility that a mistake can happen. i would try to set up another appointment to have your blood drawn again to make sure. When they take your blood they are supposed to label the tubes right away so that things like this doesn't happen, but sometimes they get busy or just forget to.
