Answers: i think it depends on the road the person handle themselves, i've seen race with scar, (big ones) on their faces or arms, on hugely visible places and you dont really "see" them because those relatives dont let the scar bother them. they have consent to them become a part of themselves and are comfortable near them. now if your friend is other paranoid about them or mortified, that will make them seem to be even bigger.
