My 16 month old Daughter has a Pin Prick Rash?
Answer:
did you seek another physician after the second one gave your kid anti-biotics? because by the looks of it, the physicians you saw really did not exhaust all means to assess you kid's condition. the cold like symptoms and if accompanied by fever may indicate several conditions, we, in here cannot make any guess as to the kid's disease, or even diagnose it for it to be properly treated. you need to see, another physician, one who would actually take a close look at your kid, have some medical and laboratory examinations done, and observe closely. only when your kid is diagnosed properly can real medical regimen be given, and this should be done fast. do not wait for any further deterioration in the physical health of your child, bring him in for a complete medical check-up.
as for the rashes, have you ever checked whether it maybe caused by outside conditions such as heat, environment, clothing, detergent? all those things must be under consideration, who knows, your kid may just be hypersensitive to those things.
but, please do not self-medicate. seek proper medical attention.
Whenever my kids got strep throat, they always got a "scarlet rash" on their stomachs and upper thighs. If she is on antibiotics she should be o.k. Also, if she is taking pennicillin and the rash began a couple of days afterwards, she could have an allergy to the medication. Call your doctor/nurse and ask.
Alvin Earl is giving you good advise. It is best to get these things checked out.
