Why do my allergies seem to get worse for the first couple hours I'm awake or at night time?

I wake up around 6:30 and within an hour, I have sneezing fits, itchy throat, dry eyes. I sometimes take medicine, sometimes I don't, but always by 11ish I'm fine. Then, come 8:00 PM, it starts all over again with the sneezing, itchy throat, etc. The weirdest thing is normally the first sneezing attacks happens at work, and the night ones are at home, so I can't even figure out what is a common thread to what I'm dealing with at work, to what I'm dealing with at home by 8.

Answer:
Maybe it's a dust-type of allergy. You have to change the bed sheets more often, and have the mattress checked/treated for dust mites.

If it's pollen (I have grass and tree pollen allergies) then you are carrying the allergen with you on your clothes, into the house, spreading the 'love'.
Good question, I don't have an answer, but that happens to me also.
Happens to me to, untill I get some Benadryl, I'm normaly sneezing my face off.
That happens to me too. This is a complete guess but I think what happens is at night when you're laying down you're sinuses or whatever behave differently. But once you're out and about it starts to slow down. At night it may pick up again due to allergens you were exposed to earlier.
I can tell you exactly why this is.

Pollen is at it's highest early morning and late afternoon/evening.

It is something to do with the rising temperature in the atmosphere early morning, and the pollen rises.

When it gets to late afternoon/evening, the temperature drops, and the pollen does too.

These are the times pollen is thickest in the air, and the times that hayfever sufferers suffer the most!!

I get severe (!) hayfever, and have suffered for the past 10 years with it.

I reccommend wearing sunglasses (wraparound are best) during these times, it keeps the pollen from getting in your eyes.

I also recommend trying to give up dairy. As I said, I have been suffereing from hayfever and other allergies for 10 years. I have probably spend hundreds of thousands on every kind of treatment I could find. Nothing worked more than 50% to reduce my symptoms.

Literally, as a last ditch attempt, I heard giving up dairy helps with allergies. I switched to soya milk 10 days ago, and I haven't taken a single hayfever tablet or remedy since. Neither have I suffered form hayfever, apart from mild sneezing very occasionally!!
