What can u do for Poison ivy?
Answer:
gold bond or benadryl cream personally i like the gold bond
and if you just got it recently take a warm bath with a little bleach in your bath water and soak that will help to. bleach dries it out. it may sting a little but you will feel soo much better after
Avoid it
Calamine
First use rubbing alcohol and a paper towel to dab the area a bit and get the rest of the urushiol oil off your skin. Washing with soap and water is a good and sting-less second choice, but you run the risk of letting residual oils wash down over the rest of your arm/leg/whatever and spread the rash. Personally I like Ivy-Dry and hydrocortisone cream as a treatment combination, just remember to wash your hands so you don't spread it around if there's any more oils on the rash. Also, if it's in your yard, get some Roundup at the local hardware store and kill every last poison ivy plant you see, for the good of us all.
Calamine is a mixture of zinc oxide (ZnO) with about 0.5% iron(III) oxide (Fe2O3). It is the main ingredient in calamine lotion and is used as an antipruritic to treat sunburn, eczema, rashes, poison ivy, chickenpox, insect bites and stings. It is used as a mild antiseptic to prevent infections that can be caused by scratching the affected area. It is also used to dry weeping or oozing blisters and acne abscesses
On a less tech side..My family has been using Calamine Lotion for ever and is the best over the counter for Poison Ivy.
Good luck...Don't scratch !!
Cortizone 10 creme, or Calamine lotion
Been there! done that! Give it 2 or 3 days then see a Doc.
Buy some Tech-Nu.
This stuff works. I have used it and depending on how severe the rash was it might take a few days to heal but it stops the itch. There is an alternative product "Zanfel" that cost more but did not work as well for me.

Tecnu Extreme Poison Ivy Scrub is different from other products on the market in two ways.
First, it gets to the root of the problem by removing an ultra-potent and toxic substance called “urushiol” (ooh-roo-she-all) from the skin. Urushiol comes from the poison oak, poison ivy and sumac plants and attaches to the skin. It is the source of the poison ivy rash, irritation and spreading.
In addition, Tecnu Extreme contains an active ingredient to relieve itching fast!
