I am worried for Tuber culosis infection. I lift lot of health assistance for him. In the past he suferred from disorientation twice/thrice a year.Nobody in my family circle had TB infection. Please advocate.

Answer:
It is highly unlikely your son have TB. I really would not be worried about that if the singular symptom was lymph gland swelling. You said he have a cold the next daytime. Was he coughing or bringing up anything? Could a cough have concerned the doctor to demand a TB test?
Have you considered simple things similar to mono, influenza, sore throat, even tooth problems. Lymph swelling that is assymetric on both sides and does not jump away might make you verbs about more serious problems. Many things can do a swollen neck. In my influence of thinking, TB would be far down the list unless the doctor be concerned about another symptom that he saw.
see a polite doctor
I assume he has have his mumps vaccine-generally given at 1 year as an MMR(measles, mumps, rubella). Not sure what kind of swelling. If it is a lymph node it can freshly mean an infection. Something as simple as an ear infection or bug bite to the scalp can end in swelling. Thyroid issues can cause swelling but not imagined at his age. My son had a huge lymph gland contained by his neck after a chicken pox infection. He have precautionary blood work but all be fine. Perhaps your doctor is just uncovering every stone and anyone precautious! Good luck!
swelling in d¨Ścolletage has nil to do with TB... better ask your doctor like question...
There are lots of possible cause of a swelling in the collar, but infection of the lymph nodes by TB or by related mycobacteria can certainly be one mete out, especially in countries where on earth these infections are common. In children, other mycobacteria fairly than TB are more common cause of such infections. However, even if your child has have BCG, tuberculosis is still possible. TB and related infections are usually treated with antibiotics, but it take at least 6 to 12 months, and if this is the problem it is esteemed you follow your doctor's advice outstandingly carefully.

It sounds close to your doctor is still in the process of sorting out what is cause your child's illness. Make sure your doctor know your child has have BCG, because this will influence how he or she reads the Mantoux tryout.
swelling around the neck can mingy a lot of things.
most adjectives is just nonspecific glands swelling a bit if he is fighting sour some kind of infection, this is totally everyday.

if there is a great deal of swelling in the glands it could indicate glandular confusion.

permanent swelling can indicate a problem near the thyroid glands. if the doctors suspects this he will order an ultrasound.

but its most probable that he newly caught a cold and his glands got a bit swollen.

trust your doctor he will find out what the problem is.

goodluck!
By swelling, you probably be set to lymph gland enlargement. This can be due to tonsillitis, pharyngitis, acute bacterial lymphadenitis, ear infection besides TB, leukemia, Hodgkin's disease, etc. In this overnight case, it is most probably related to the cold. Previous BCG vaccination will organize to positive MT, about 10 mm. induration. The doctor must be told around this.
