A woman diagnosed with breast cancer and has been told that a breast removal is imminent…?
Answer:
Ya know my best friend and monther-in-law are both battling breast cancer right now, I think the best thing to do is keep a positive attitude, try to lead as normal a life as possible and do what the doctor tells you to do. They both said the worst part was during Chemo treatment the fluish and run down feeling the would get, but they both kept pushing, and they both kept their chins up and are now on the road to recovery and that cancer survivor mark... good luck!
A diagnosis of cancer is never an easy thing to deal with. I wish this woman the best of luck!
As far as diet, it is important to stick with something balanced. It is hard to say what is right for this individual, are there any other health issues going on? The body will be going through a healing process after the surgery and it is important to make sure you get enough calories and protein to aid in the healing. The best bet is really to talk to the doctor, every ones care should be individualized to their needs.
I would suggest doing the same thing for a lifestyle recommendation as well. Some people can tolerate very little activity while others maintain an active lifestyle through out cancer treatment. Cancer treatment regimens are very unique to the individual, they may encourage one to do whatever activities they are comfortable with and can tolerate and recommend that another take things a little easier and slower.
The best option is to sit down and have a lengthy discussion with the primary oncologist. Bring the support team, whether it be friends or family and don't be afraid to ask questions. Remember who the patient is and that everything should be done in their best interest.
Best of luck to all involved in this case! I will be thinking of you all.
No info regarding stage and extent of cancer, but maybe she should consult another doctor about the situation. Mastectomy (breast removal) is not always indicated these days.
If there is no alternative to radical surgery, a normal, healthy diet is indicated. Regarding lifestyle: continue activities and interests. Additionally, consider therapy (group and/or individual) and DO contact support groups (Reach for Life, etc.).
I got rid of Stage 4 cancer in two weeks by doing this. (It was actually one week but it returned three days after I stopped, and went away again.)
Grated habeneros pepper. (Available in grocery stores.)
Freshly grated garlic (each day.)
Emulsified fish oil (1-2 tablespoons.) I wasn't losing weight or retaining fluid. If there is weight loss or fluid retention, then I'd use evening primrose oil instead.
For about $15 to $20, you can do a better job than what medicine and surgery has to offer.
Put grated pepper and garlic on bread with lots of butter (because it is hot.) It will probably make you hyperventilate, which is a good thing because that helps to clear the lymph system.
I continued with the fish oil for about six months after the lesions went away to make sure my metabolism was more balanced.
Do this once a day. That's all. Cancer is a weak cell, and it can't stand garlic. It runs, but it can't hide.
The pepper helps to break up the sticky high fibrin levels that surround cancer cells and gunk up everything, exposing the naked cancer cells to the garlic. As a bonus, the peppers have anti-cancer properties, too.
The oils help to balance an out of balance metabolism which promotes cancer growth. In other words the oils help to remove the cancer-promoting imbalance.

I was told that Selenium ACE (vit A vitC vitE) is good for the prevention of further cancer cells developing because it mops up free randicals (rogue cells) in the blood stream.
I had a mastectomy 12 years ago, and have been taking it for 10yrs. Obviously dont know if it has helped, but I dont intend stopping, just in case.
Go along with every treatment and drugs the doctors recommend, but also try alternative remedies which help relaxation. Aromatherapy, reflexology, relaxation tapes etc.
Councelling can be a great help, because it can be hard to express the awful emotions you are going through to the people who are close to you in case it upsets them.
Tell it to a stranger instead, they are trained to listen, and you can say anything you like, without upsetting anyone.
Apart from that, get on with normal life, and keep positive.
I found this difficult in the first year, but it comes easier as time goes by.
My friend had a mastectomy last year, and she has been positive from the begining.;
Everyone reacts differently, and copes in their own way.
Eat a good healthy diet and have lots of exercise.
Ive just had three glasses of wine and a Mars bar..
but I will be back on it tomorrow, honest.
good luck.
