I know you said he won't see a doctor but he really should try to be convinced to see a doctor. If there is something going on serious they can commence tests to see what is going on and he can enjoy treatment. I know that is not a minor or serious answer that you be looking for, but no one can no for sure until he is examined by a physician. It is better to be protected than sorry. Many people avoid situations similar to this because they are scared of what the doctor may read aloud. Please continue to urge him to see a doctor for himself and his line.
