NO! Why would you want to do that? If you think you are going to achieve some sympathy or slack or emotional support afterwards wake up to the actuality that they can't fire you for your condition but they sure can come up with another principle to terminate you. Why would they want to do that? Simple. They are contained by the business of making money & your medical condition could be looked at as a financial liability in lingo of sick leave, decrease productivity & Heaven forbid - life insurance provided through a company insurance plan. I am a physician & the guidance I'm giving you is rock solid. Provide your employer with medical excuses for abscence or work limitations. The specifics of your condition are protectede by doctor/patient priviledge. Your employer is disallowed to force you to give that information & your doctor cannot offer that information without your concent. Now, if you endow with that information to your employer & then take fired for some nonsense, you know what really happen, don't you?
Well are you in remission did you newly find out you have it. you should explain to them so they can understand if you have need of some time off so you can take chemo or if you are just too tired and sick to come surrounded by. I think you should explain to your boss when your appts. are and whats going on. hang on to them up to date so they will know what to expect. If they will need to bid in some extra support if oyu cant make it for a couple of days.
If you touch like this might affect your production, then yes, report them. It will help them to enjoy the information that they need to be supportive and oblige you. If you want it kept quiet, afterwards tell them that, too.
