In 1994 I kissed a man who told me later that he be HIV positive (I don't know if this was in reality true because I lost contact with him). I be worried, so two months later I have an HIV test, it come back unenthusiastic. Due to religious beliefs, I stayed celebate (from ALL forms of sexual contact) from then on, even to this year. I was in recent times wondering if it's possible I was HIV infected and tested six years subsequently and it didn't show up on the test? Can that occur? Or would it have particularly shown up in a examination in 2000, if I be exposed in 1994? Serious, irrefutable answers only, please.

You would definitely hold shown up on the 2000 test from a 1994 possible exposure. No ifs ands or buts.

The risk of getting infected with the HIV virus is totally low from kissing alone; however if you were infected it is possible for the virus to remain dormant for up to 10 years.
