What happens if chlorine gets on your skin?

What are side effects of liquid chlorine?

Answer:
If you wash it off very quickly, you shouldn't experience much discomfort or any side effects. If you don't wash it off, (depending on your personal skin sensitivity) it could cause some minor skin irritation to severe burning on the skin. If you have very sensitive skin, you may need to see a doctor. Otherwise, it should just be some minor skin irritation. Make sure you rinse it off as soon as possible after getting chlorine on you.
it dries the hell out of your hair and skin. after all it is a strong bleach. i recommend applying a thin coat of a barrier cream like vaseline. it forms a barrier between your skin and the chemical. water beads off your skin and prevents too much contact with your skin. ive seen chlorine rashes and the skin is so irritated and your natural protective barrier that protects youe skin is compromised. these rashes can be itcht and damn hard to get rid of. the vaseline washes off with any body wash or soap. remember to moisturize after bathing.
