Can The stent implanted within artery be taken out?
Answer:
The stent probably can't be taken out. When it is inserted into the artery it adhere to the artery wall, and that point is strengthened by the stent as the angioplasty weakened it due to expansion. If the stent isn't working I would have an idea that the next step would be a bypass. I own a Cypher stent too (for only around 4 months), so I don't like audible range this.
Ask your doctor if he feels it can be removed.
A PTCA stent is expanded into the walls of the artery using a balloon. There is no track to collapse it and retrieve it. The only prospect is to try CABG (Bypass surgery) leaving the stent inside.
This have to be done by a cardiac surgical team. Depending on the hospital this may be an amenable heart or a beating heart procedure.

Stent cannot be removed. This is the problem next to bypass, angioplasty, stent treatment i which there is no guarantee that re-clogging will not cart place. I would recommend to consult any good ayurvedic doctor who will clear your blockages for good. There are many significant medicines such as Rudved/Cardoved?Suved/Slow Gold etc. which are proficient of clearing the blockage within 4 to 6 months in need surgery. Check in google for details.

Well, I have have four put in, one balloon angioplasty and I still own all my toys.but if it's malfunctioning, why would your Doctor not be making your CCU Vacation Plans? I'd ask another Doctor or walk to a hospital befor I would ignore such a statement.
