Unexplained swollen lip?

Yesterday I had a very small pimple about an inch under my bottom lip and like a good girl I didn't pick at it or try to remove it. Then, this morning I woke up and my bottom lip is incredibly swollen and hurts very badly. It's making things very difficult as I cannot eat, drink or speak properly and have constant pain. Does anyone know what could have caused this? The only similar instances I could find were when people irritated the cyst and ended up with an infection..

Try warm compresses, warm washcloths, on it for a while. If this doesn't ease it, you may need to see a doctor. I hope you feel better.

It could not have been a pimple. Something could have bite you while outside and got infectied so you migth want to go the doctor.
Go and see a doctor to help fix this problem and it will be back to normal then hopefully.
Are you not sure,it's a fever blister ? They will make your lips swell very big sometimes.Try taking L-Lysine,it is good for any lip and mouth problems.

You could be having an allergic reaction to a medication or something you picked up outside somewhere.
Recently I had an allergic reaction to a medication that I have been taking since January. My top lip started swelling; then part of the bottom lip. Then one eye. Then, I got a red rash on my arms and legs. All this over about four hours. I ended up in the ER. Get it checked out.
you could have gotten bit by something. or it's a fever blister.
My daughter woke up with a swollen lip just last week. Gave her a couple of doses of Benadryle and it was gone. I assume something bit her while she was sleeping. It's probably just an allergic reaction to something.
