Why can someone become really flaxen?

I have a friend who is with ease tan-skinned or olive-skinned. Sometimes she can be very wan and I noticed that she can become a eerie kind of colourless. I was of late wondering what might cause her to be approaching this and why does she become this way ?


Answers:    mmm.. perchance anemia! is she healthy? I am anemic and when my anemia is epidemic .. I tend to get super ashen!!

Maybe she only hasn't spent as much time in the sun as mundane? Even naturally sunburn people can receive pale surrounded by the winter.

If she was sick it could produce this too.
