Are you scared of people with hiv?

Answer:
Why should I? If I were scared of people with HIV, Hepatitis, leprosy, or any other infectious disease I wouldn't have chosen to be a Nurse in the first place. And as an Hepatitis C-infected patient AND recovered heroin addict myself, I'm in no position to hold prejudices. Sadly, there's a large portion of people in this society that are prejudiced against us. They think "that's never going to happen to me, or to anybody in my family". How mistaken they are! They are ignorant, misinformed, or both. Maybe they don't know that HIV isn't a "gay" or "junkie" disease; right now, the population group with the highest-growing rate of HIV infection are heterosexual, monogamous women ages 24 to 45. Or that, for every person diagnosed with Hepatitis C, there are nine others that are walking around infected but undiagnosed. So, my sweetheart, take my advise: keep your diagnosis secret if you want, but get treatment ASAP. The sooner you get on the proper medications, the longest your life expectancy will be. HIV was a death sentence 20 years ago; today, it is considered a chronic, treatable condition like diabetes or hypertension. Blessings, and hope that everything turns out for the best.
No.
No, there is not really anything to be scared of.
No.
No, it doesn't make them different from me or you. There's no reason to be afraid of those infected. Are you? What scares you about them? Why are you afraid? (I'm just curious - I don't mean to sound as if I am attacking you)
Not scared, really. Just need to take precaution when around them. HIV is real, and it affects anyone. Everyone will probably know someone that has it at some point in there life time.
Im not scared of people with HIV, what i am scared of is people who are not honest with other about their status.
I have a friend who is positive, and has sex with different woman, and he has told me that sometimes if they ask him if he is has ever been tested for HIV he lies and says he is negative... that sh*t right there scares me.
Scared? No. Cautious? Yes. I've been in surgery more than a few times on HIV positive patients. You just take all of the precautions you can and be extra careful.
no I'm not scared of people with HIV cause there's no reason to be .
scared? Never, However, if you wish not to reveal your status that's your right--BUT---if you are interested in someone or are going to be intimate with someone---then you should tell them you tested positive.

Just take care of yourself. Live a healthy lifestyle.

No, I am not. I have been a caregiver to people with HIV, bathed them, given them personal care, fed them.
yes, I am scared of them,if they would do safe sex I wouldn't
Nope. Not at all.

I know several people with HIV. They are still my friends. Regardless.

End of story.

No, I'm not because I'm informed. I encourage you to join a support group if you're unsure how to deal with it. Actually, joining one anyways can be a great support system.
No. And any person worth your friendship will be sensible enough to know it can't be transmitted through casual contact.
