Beauty mark on my face grows long black hair...could it be cancerous?

I have a small mole-like beauty mark on my face. Sometimes it grows long, thick, black hair. Usually I pluck the hair, but is it possible that it could be cancerous? The mark has been there pretty much all my life, I'm 17 years old.

Answer:
no, mom has a mole on her face that grows some hairs once awhile. She plucks them only when they get too long and obvious and it has been there since she was a kid.

As long as the mole doesn't get larger, become painful or changes colour from dark to pinkish..then it's not cancerous. Stay out of the sun whenever you can and when you do get outdoors use a moisturiser with sunscreen, or just sunscreen if you have oily skin.
could be normal for you. make an appointment with a dermatologist to have a complete skin check.
No. As long as it doesn't move and/or change color you should be fine.
If it is as large as a pencil eraser an odd, not round shape, or more than one color...have it removed...or if you just don't like it...have it removed...I had one removed from my cheek, it was not cancer...but I am so much happier without it and without worrying what it might be.
