I'm starting a diet and just wanted to know does protein powder help lose weight or help gain muscle?

I want to lose some weight but also tone my body..i do excercise, drink plenty of water. But i want to try protein powder to see if i can get quicker results.

Answer:
Protein will help in building muscles if you exercise as well.

But remember, muscle weighs more than fat. So although you may loose fat, you could still gain or maintain your current weight.

If you can, you might talk to your doctor and see if they can run some tests to see what your body fat percentage is. That may help you out more than just looking at a scale!
helps gain muscles.
You gain muscle IF you work out a lot. If you don't then you will just gain weight.
Great post! I totally understand how you feel. I'm also trying to lose weight and I found this great product which is working for me. You can check the website at
http://www.hyperl.info , I had a free trial and paid less than 7.00$ shipping and handling. Best of luck!
