What are healthy options to put on toast?
Answer:
Marmite has plenty of flavour and vitamins. Fruit spreads that don't contain much sugar are good (you can even make them yourself!) You can buy the spreads in most supermarkets but you have to keep them in the fridge because their low sugar content means they can go off if not kept cool. Mashed or sliced banana is good on toast. Olive oil sprinkled with cajun spice or that Italian spice mix that they use with bread (sorry can't remember the name) Olive oil is OK because it reduces your cholesterol level and improves the good HDL's in your bloodstream. (But beware of so-called olive oil spreads because they are mostly other fats with a small percentage of olive oil added. I suspect palm-oil is one of the other fats they use- very bad!)
I have made fruit spreads using just enough sugar to take away any tartness and frozen them in ice-cube trays so I can get them out one at a time. Hope some of this helps.
butter !!!
u seem too picky, just eat the toast plain
Avacado or a white bean spread.
I use parkay lite...tastes like butter but healthier..
you could use "I Cant Believe its not Butter Spray" or Parkey's Butter Spray. no fat.
Also, apple butter is the lowest calorie preserve I know of - look for no sugar added.
IF you cant find that, try applesauce with no sugar added, and add cinnamon to it.
banana on toast yummmm
sometimes I put a little lowfat cottage cheese with a sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar. yummy! and it fills you up!
It's okay to have a little sugar in your diet. If you want to use the jam, go ahead. Just be sure to limit your intake for the rest of the day. Something you could add with your jam is PEANUT BUTTER for a little extra protien. It is high in fat, but don't let it fool you, it's a healthy alternative and the protien will help keep you full longer.
U might just dip it in tea/milk/juice.
Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.
