Walking on the treadmill, if I carry 10 lb. weights will I burn more calories? How much more ?

What is the best way to get the most from my walking workout? I'm trying to lose weight.

10 pound weights will damage your joints.

When walking on a treadmill, do an incline. Also, increase your speed.

Increase both every 6 weeks.
