Only eating fruits for a week will help u gain weight or lose it?

I heard that it will help u lose weight but other people siad beacuse of all the sugars and carbs that fruits have it will make u gain weight rather than lose any.

Answer:
You will not only loose weight but you see a lot of change in your over all health. You feel more healthy relaxed and charged. Good Luck
it wont do either because you have to have a balanced diet, and just fruits will deprive you of the nutrients you get from other foods.
you will only lose weight because u aren't eating any trans fat , saturated fat , or sodium and those are the main three factors that make us gain weight.
I must say fruits alone is better than just eating meat for the whole week. But this is not good. You must eat a balanced diet and exercise to lose weight,
I think it is so funny how people think this.

Look at it this way. The average person eats breakfast, lunch and dinner right? Plus a snack and maybe dessert in between. Plus you drink water, soda or what ever. All of this makes up your daily calories and averages out to some kind of number.

Now if you eat let's say only one bag of M&M's a day would you lose weight? Well yeah! You are cutting down on your calories because you eat only a bag of M&M's.

What if you eat only Special K cereal like I've seen advertised. You eat 3 bowls a day for a week. Would you lose weight?? Ofcourse you are cutting back on your calories and eating something different.

Let's say you something crazy like a can of green beans for each of your meals. Would you lose weight? Well ofcourse you are cutting back on your daily calories.

So in answer to your question if you just eat fruit would you would lose weight because you are changing your eating habits. You'd also end up with a lot of gas and stomach pain due to the high acid in fruits. You'd have an upset stomach and the RUNS if you know what I mean. Not a very good idea.

All the above of just eating one thing for a week or so helps lose weight no matter what it is and people have tried to sell it for years. I had a friend go on some kind of soup diet for a few weeks and lost weight. Ofocourse once she started back her normal eating she put on weight really fast because she lost a lot of water and starved herself for awhile.

I don't buy those kind of diets.
First, fruits ARE carbs. These are carories, simple sugars that are first used by the body to power itself. Those sugars that are not immediatly used get turned into fat.

So, to answer your question, it depends on how much fruit you eat. Too much, and you will store unused calories as fat. Too little, your body will need more calories to function, and you will burn up some fat.

The thing is, that one single week of this diet will make little difference in the long run. Lose 5 pounds one week and you can easily regain that, and more, the next.

Like that one person said, the body needs a balance of carbs, protein and other nutrients to maintain health. Losing weight PERMANENTLY means burning more calories than you take in, while feeding the body everything it needs to keep alive and well.
One of the best ways to fill up on foods with low energy density is to eat more fruit. But not just any fruit will do. Canned fruit packed in heavy syrup has twice the energy density of canned fruit packed in light syrup. Dried fruit has four times the energy density of fresh fruit, because almost all the water has been removed. The best choice is fresh, whole fruit for the least amount of calories and the highest amount of fullness and satisfaction.

The top fruits for weight loss include grapefruit, melons (watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew), berries (strawberries, raspberries and blueberries), papaya and peach.

Fruits should be limited to one serving per day -avoid fruits with high content sugar.

There are some factors you want to consider for losing weight-

Protein plus green leafy vegetables are the good start for losing weight.

Low amount of complex carbs, and non-root veggies are helpful.

Adequate amount of water intake, plus physical activity.
