how is an 18 yo house cat still alive. sounds similar to you need to clutch fluffy to the vet
whos chest and legs? its own or yours? it makes a big difference on which we are conversation about.
Could be an allergic hostile response to fleas or anxiety.

perchance she needs a hairstyle...when cats lick/clean themselves, they sometimes pull their coat out because it is getting too long and they want to get rid of it

I don't know why but it reminded me of a neighbour's cat some years ago. She begin losing her fur on her legs and belly/chest area and they have taken her to the vet. He thought it might be some type of allergy but could not define it. Eventually the poor piece looked as though it had be clipped as a poodle might be. It transpired that she had an allergy that be aggravated by whatever weedkiller it be that our local council had sprayed at this time of year around the lamppost, kerbs, pavings, etc.
The best thing is to bear her to a vet, but make sure that you are sitting down when he presents his bill! My second visit cost me over lb200 basically to find out that a male cat have diabetes. Good luck.
