My doc have me on the south beach diet. Seems to be working.
could you use mitt weights? something that weighs between 2 to 15 pounds. i wouldn't conjecture your doctor would have a problem near you in a sitting position doing some arm exercises. also try ankle weights (2 to 10 lbs) - while sitting or lying down, do leg lift with them. if the doc say no weights at all, do the leg lift without the weights. also, while sitting, do some calm stretching. do your arms, your legs, back and wrists.
i hope these concept work for you! they are pretty gentle ways to return with the body makeover started now and go and get your body ready for when you can start walking for cardio and lifting some heavier weights. please remember to couple your exercises next to a healthy diet - chomp through lots of fruits and vegetables, lean meat like chicken and fish and snacks that pack protein approaching nuts and cheese.
Something I do with my cardiac risk clients is to simply own them start standing up and sitting down in the bench they sit in most at home. Brace next to your arms, stand up, pause one or two second and then sit put a bet on down WITH CONTROL and leading wager on with the arms for added support. This is something you can do on your own, right immediately. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH! You take a obedient breath in through the proboscis while sitting, and then exhale as you rise. Another angelic breath during the pause, and exhale as you control yourself down. One time with the sole purpose the first day, next see how you feel. A reachable purpose would be to perform 1 set of 10, 5 times a year, 3 days a week by the time the 8-10 weeks rolls around and you could start walking and/or using some light dumbbells or resistance band. Just remember, consistency is the key.
