Cardio for weak knees, what are options?

Preferably indoors. I want to lose that stubborn mid torso fat.

Answer:
I have bad knees and my most comfortable exercise is water walking or water aerobics - NO impact.
Recumbent bike is also good as is the elliptical machine.
A cycling machine wouldn't be bad. Swimming would probably be the best for your knees.
Try the oliptical machine, its really low impact and soft on knees. Also try swimming, basically no impact. Hope I helped!
Ellipticals or Arc Trainers are good and low impact on the knees. That is what you a looking for when selecting a cardio machine, anything that is low impact on the knees!
Elliptical - no impact, moderate to high intensity, and practically a whole body workout. You can also swim, do low-impact aerobics classes, and do upper body-style workouts using a punching bag, though that can lead to shoulder and joint problems if done improperly. Your best bet is the elliptical or a good low-impact aerobics class! Good Luck!
Try swimming, cycling, eliptical or cybex. All are easy on knees.
Stationary bike or even better a rowing machine...burns beaucoup calories! good luck.
swimming and cycling are two of the best cardio is you have weak knees. Also it's a good idea to do light weight training to strenghten the muscles surrounding the knees, but do very light weight and don't strain your knees
Swim lengths. No gentle splashing, just real plowing through the water. Deep water aerobics or water running. All great for burning the calories, but protecting the joints.

Avoid anything that puts weight on your knees, including treadmill, eliptical, etc. Depending on why your knees are weak will decide whether or not the bike will work for you.

Consult a dietician for a healthy, weight-reduction diet. That will enhance any cardio you do and hasten the gut reduction.

Before you start, consult a certified fitness trainer. If you are not careful, you can do an awful lot of permanent damage.
