Parents encouraging eating disorders?
i really just wanna make my parents proud of me, thats all i wanna do.
Answer:
If your mum says to eat 300 calories a day, run seven miles and do 400 situps, she might want to measure you for your coffin. 300 calories per MEAL would be closer to reality. And, you can't start off running seven miles a day - you'll dehydrate and collapse. If she truly means well, have her go to your doctor with you and let him tell her..although, at 5'6", you are NOT overweight! Your parents will always be proud of you - especially if you suggest doing the right things. I am sure it is out of ignorance that your Mum suggested the above, but it will, basically, kill you and/or bring on terrible health problems. Good luck!
85 pounds? Damn, that's skinny. Just watch what you eat, and excersise. Don't overdo it, but it's good practice to be active and eat right. If you start now, then you won't have as much to worry about later in life.
ur tall for your age and thats why you weigh that much. i know she is your mom but in this case do what makes u happy. kids are not supposed to go on diets because they are still growing. i know a girl who is always dieting and she is very short. she has no curves or anything .she's under 5ft and looks like she is six. she's 15.
i was always a skinny child myself and now i am still a thin adult. i have two children myself and never, EVER would i put my children on a diet at that height and weight! granted, 121 may be a bit for a twelve year old but at 5'6, you are tall! that is a perfectly fine height/weight ratio. so to answer your question.. NO!! 300 calories?? are you kidding?? is it even POSSIBLE to live off that amount?? running 7 miles a day and 400 sit-ups?? either you are just joking around or you really have some twisted parents! they won't be proud of you if you do that anymore than they are now. it sounds like you and your parents both need some help. since you can not force them, you are going to have to seek help on your own. stay the way you are physically.. unless you want to wind up in the hospital in about two months from now!
