If hope that this weight to height is for males. If I see a girl 6'1 and over 215, I might get a little frightened. I'm just a runted Englishman, not enough anglo-saxon blood, too much borderline Celtic.

depends on how much fat you have. You should probably be more concerned with body fat % rather than just weight. People that are 6'1" can range in weight, but that's because people have a wide range of muscle mass. If you're asking here, you're probably a little overweight. If you don't work out with heavy weights then you should probably be closer to 185 give or take a 5 pounds.

Try taking up some activities, and a diet you can stick to.

Avoid sweets, white bread, soda, beer, etc.

hmm, its just pushing it a little i think. for 6'1" i would say 185-190 is a good weight.
No, not for a male, especially if he's muscular. Ignore the charts that tell you how much you should weigh for your height- they're just not practical, and don't take all factors into account.

I AGREE WITH SLAMDUNK IT REALLY HAS ALL TO DO WITH HOW MUCH OF IT IS MUSCLE AND HOW MUCH IS FAT BUT YOU ALSO HAVE TO TAKE IN ACCOUNT WHETHER OR NOT HE IS A BIG BONED GUY SOME GUYS ARE JUST NOT BUILT TO BE 185-190 WHEN THEY HAVE A BIGGER BONE STRUCTURE SO THEY COULD WEIGH 200-210 AND STILL BE SKINNY AS COULD BE JUST WEIGH THAT MUCH CAUSE OF THERE BONES AND MUSCLE
