Well you could look online for a diet and exercise regimine. I can honestly say from experience that even if you arent the most Inshape person in the group, the rigorous volleyball training will get you in shape. You should also stay in athletics after volleyball season!
Please take it from a Pro. I am 45 and will always have a weight problem partly genetics, partly bad choices. However, after spending literally thousands of dollars in diet pills, programs, etc, I found that the easiest and best way to lose weight is...drum roll please...1. Eat healthy 2. Exercise daily no less than 30 minutes of cardio and lift weights 2 to 3 days a week 3. Eat Healthy 4. Eat Healthy and 5. Eat healthy. Believe me, there are no diet pills and the faster you take the weight off, the faster the weight will come back on plus more. Take your time to lose the weight you want. It helps you make better choices rather than slimming down quick. Don't rely on anything other than smart choices and exercise. Good Luck!
1. If you are not an adult, it is dangerous to go on a diet without a doctor's advice, because your brain is still growing.
2. Low carb diets were shown to be dangerous way back in the 1960's.
3. It is dangerous to eat fewer than 1200 calories a day.
4. It is dangerous to lose more than 2 pounds a week.

That said, you need a combination of a balanced diet for proper nutrition, and good exercise. 3500 calories = 1 pound. If you burn an extra 500 calories a day, you will lose 1 pound a week. If you burn 500 extra calories a day, and eat 500 fewer calories a day, that equals a thousand calorie deficit a day, and you will lose 2 pounds a week.

To burn calories, the exercise needs to be aerobic. That means your heart rate needs to be elevated, and you need to breathe heavier. You need to do this a minimum of 30 minutes to get healthy heart benefits. Aerobic exercise includes jogging, fast walking, swimming, bicycling, jumping rope, disco dancing, jumping up and down, playing tag, playing tennis, or anything like that.

Remember it must be a balanced diet, and it is dangerous to starve your body and brain if you are young. See a doctor or nutritionist and do it the healthy way. When you turn 50 you will be glad you did so.
It is going to be a struggle, but you can do it. Don't try to lose it all at once. You need to eat smaller portions of everything. Maybe your mom can help you with this. If she is used to loading your plate, you need to remind her that you are pretty well grown and no longer need as many calories to help you grow. She can help you to get a small scale so that you can weigh portions and see what a healthy portion looks like. A serving of meat for example is about the size of a hamburger patty or the palm of your hand. vegetable servings are by the cup or half cup measure. If you don't overfill your plate, and be sure to chew all your food thoroughly, instead of gulping down after a few chews it will also help. Eat lots of "crunchy" foods. If your vegetables are raw or steamed, instead of cooked to mushy consistency, you will get the enjoyment of chewing them 35 times to that mushy consistency before swallowing, and then you will feel fuller, too, because it will then take you longer to eat your meal. For between meals, eat only fruit or vegetables, like a carrot or celery sticks. Give up drinking soda and sugary drinks. Drink water and water and water, and maybe a little fruit juice (but nots lots, because it has lots of sugar), and plenty of milk for the calcium which is good for your bones.

Then, you need to exercise - walking instead of riding, walk around the block each day, or go to the park and throw a ball and walk your dog. Keep moving. Stay away from the computer and go, go, go. even going to the mall and walking around the stores is better than sitting all day. Go swimming, go dancing - put on your favorite music and dance/exercise for hours. you can walk in place while you read, or watch tv. YOu don't need fancy equipment, just keep moving. Dance is more fun and burns more calories, so have fun and enjoy it.

Again, don't try to do it all in one day, but keep at it, and if you slip and eat something with lots of calories that you enjoy, to do it in small portions.

Just remember to use small portions and small bites and chew thoroughly. Smell your food before you eat it. Take tiny bites, and savor the taste, and chew, chew, chew. It may help to use a sandwich plate instead of a dinner plate for meals. The plate will look fuller, and it is more satisfying to have a full plate. Or if you use a dinner plate, make it a challenge to not have so much food that nothing touches the other food items.

I know you can do it! Good luck!
