Any advice?

just wonderin, i do fitness classes about 5 times a week, some of which involve a lot of impact. i wear runnin shoes that have a shock absorber, bt sometimes the muscle by my shin hurts, (no its not shin splints i dnt think), when i touch it, it feels like its bruised bt its not, i was just wonderin if there was anythin else i cud do to help to advoid injuries( the whole warmup n stretchin is done as classes are with a proper instructor) like certain supplements, or if u no of a good pair of shoes.

any comments will b much appreciated as long as ther not stupid ones.

thanks!

Answer:
Sounds like shin splints to me. I think you can wear the best shoes in the world and still get them. I've been gymming for 8 years and still get the buggers after aerobic type classes.

Jogging shoes and aerobics shoes are different, with impact absorbers in different areas of the shoe, as running and aerobics take impact on different areas of the foot.

I find doing some extra stretches before and after exercise helps me a lot. The best one, how do I explain it, where you draw circles in the air with your toes, keeping your leg in the same place. That one really helps me.

Hope that helps!
