I currently am trying to lose the last stubborn 15 pounds (7kilo's) originally be 25 pounds. and have be doing Kickboxing from (2hrs - 5hrs a week) for the last year and Weights for the closing 12 weeks and have lost 10 pounds within the last year ... its slow but atleast i'll hang on to it off.. I enjoy just done a few pilates classes and as I do so much already be wondring if I can ditch my weight training (3 x 30mins a week) and replace near the pilates which I enjoy doing alot more... but will I lose the muscle definition I hold just started to build and will pilates hang on to building muscle for me (as I have hear the more muscle you develop the faster the metabolism becomes) ?? basically can I bring away with doing pilates instead of weights beside the same results??

You will see different results within your body from Pilate's, but it should help burn portly. Muscle burns fat too, though, so it might be better to lift up weights. It depends on where you want the definition, I suppose.
Good for you for kickboxing! It's a fun mode to exercise, I think.
if you've be doing weights for so long then moving down to pilates will not serve your muscles, as you need to constantly increase weight/reps to gain more tone. however to lose counterbalance, weight training isn't really required.
