Answer:
You have to be at least 10# overweight to go to WW.
It is kinda hard to do if you can't get the books they give you when you join. Do you have a friend who had a family member that might still have ww books you can use?

If not, go to the library and check out the South Beach Diet.
This is very similar to Weight Watchers. It is a good sound eating plan.

There are just toooo many foods to try to list them all here, and even joining online costs money, so that may not work for you.

You can even go to the big book stores Hastings, Barnes & Nobles, and they have chairs where you can sit and read their books.

Lots of magazines have diet plans in them. You can even buy one of the 'pocket' guides at the check out counter of your grocery store that has calorie values in it for all the different foods for about $2.

Figure you weigh 128 pounds. It takes 12 calories per pound to stay the same weight you are, or 1,526 calories a day. You need to cut out 3,500 calories to lose a pound of body fat.

Now to do this, you cut your daily intake by 500 calories a day. This means you would eat 1026 calories a day and you will lose a pound a week.

Eat 5-7 servings of fruits and veggies a day
1 cup is a serving, or 1 med fruit
carrots apple pear
broccoli grapes fresh cherries
cauliflower lettuce spinich
snow peas
cucumbers
banana
orange
Eat 2-4 servings of whole grains
1 cup cereal (not the sugary kind)
1 slice whole grain bread
1 cup rice
Drink 3 glasses skim or lowfat milk a day (a must!)
and eat 1 or 2 snacks in the form of fruits or veggies.

No sugar soda drinks, and if you give up carbonation all together, you will lose weight quicker.

Good luck!
If you are under 18, you really need a doctor's permission to start WW. The points depend on your lifestyle and is really only something you can get from WW. You could try looking on ebay for the books though. Another thing to consider is WW online. It is about...$16.95 a month I think and very easy to use. It seems you don't have that much weight to lose though. Eating healthier foods and exercising more could be all you need to drop a few pounds. Good luck!
Do you really need weight watchers? If your mum wont let you do it it is for a reason. Take a look on the weight watchers website. It should give you lots of info. You can buy the books without joining, or you could try ebay. Seriously though all you really have to do is cut back on the junk food.
For weighing less than 150 lbs you should eat 20 points per day. I'm not sure where you can get a chart for all their foods, but I do know that most vegetables are 0 pts for 1 Cup. Many fruits, like watermelon, strawberries, apples, peaches are 1 pt for 1 C or 1 average size. 1 large egg is 2 pts. 1 slice whole wheat bread is 1 pt. a lean skinless cooked chicken breast is 3 pts. 1 cup skim milk is 2 pts. 1 cup Special K cereal is 2 pts. 3 cups microwaved popcorn is 3 pts. 1 hamburger without bun is 3 pts. Hope this helps.
