On average, how many times a week should you visit the gym to maintain a healthy lifestyle?
Is this about right, too much or too little?
Thank you
Answer:
My husband goes to the gym twice a week and plays football twice a week and works out in our garage on a weight bench twice a week and hes been doing that for 14 years. So just do what ever is right for you. You can never do too much to stay healthy.
You should aim for atleast 30 minutes of cardio vascular work each day.
Emphasis on the AT LEAST bit. But you seem to be going in the right direction. Keep up the good work.
If you sit on the couch all day and go to the gym twice a week, its not enough. If you sit on the couch all day and exercise 20 minutes it's still not enough. You need to be on your feet every day to consider yourself fit. That's where you draw the line.
It depends on what you work on at the gym, if its cardio I would start with 3-4 times a week then doing it everyday just to get in the routine. If you want to lift weights rest your muscles that you trained for 48 hours. I started at 3-4 days a week now I'm at 5-6. It really depends on what your trying to do.
good question but I prefer to answer this to a different type of question which is ;
how many times should you go to the gym to make good use of ones expensive membership...lol??
but sincerely to answer your question yes about three times at least and rigorous exercise not anything..
sounds good. but a healthy lifestyle also means a healthy diet. 20-30 minute cardio daily is best. And most importantly do something that will keep you motivated, something that you enjoy and will continue to do.
Seems like a perfect amount. I'd say 3 times a week to the gym is better than most people, but it depends on your goals. My little brother goes every day, but he wants to build size and muscle. I go about 3-4 times a week to work more on fitness. Swings and roundabouts!
ALL I DO IS PLAY OUTSIDE AND I'M FIT. :p
Never!
You can do all you need to keep fit withourt going near a gym and wasting £30+ per month.
In fact give it to me and i will tell you how to do it!!
