Pre-Army Training?

I've recently been enroled into the army and would be heading to the barracks in a couple of months time. I've started weight training a month ago but I am weak in push ups and I've heard that all you do in the army is push-ups & long distance runs. Question is, should I continue with my routine or should I go for push ups & cardio training everyday instead?

Answer:
You should definately concentrate on push ups and runnning, push yourself everday, and increase amount everyday. But honestly, they will prepare u believe me, they are gonna smoke u soooooooo much, that you will do great on your PT test, but don't overdue it,because they are gonna work u so hard you will be sore, so if i were u, i would work on it but also relax, because you are in for a big change!
