Kickboxing as exercise?

I have taken a kickboxing class at the gym and be wondering if anyone knew specifically what it help? and how good of exercise it is compared beside other types?
the class is 60 minutes, with 15 or stretching/legs or abs at the extension.

Anyone know how many calories this burns, I enjoy looked it up online but there is such a full-size range I do not know what to believe! Thanks :)

Kickboxing have helped me trim my waist and strenghthen my legs.I love this form of exercise more than any other Ive tried
It is simple cardiovascular exercise. It help get your heart rate up, burn calories, and support you lose weight. Just find something you close to and keep doing it so you can stay fit.
it depends on the intensiveness of it, remember talent over quantity. kickboxing is an excellent conditioning sport, helping to maintain weight within check and blood pressure low.
