Jennifer.I would say from your brief description that you imagined have a blocked or crushed salivary duct contained by your lip, or what is called a mucocele. Depending on the make happen, ( usually something like biting your lip) they can resolve themselves pretty quickly or they can continue for a long time. Another possibility is what is called an Irritation Fibroma. Something resembling a tooth can continually rub your lip, causing this lump. It will not feasible go away on its own and doesn`t matter what caused it requirements to be corrected so it doesn't come back after it is removed.
Since it sounds resembling a "blister" it could also be a herpes sore. But this lump will turn into an ulcer surrounded by a matter of a few days. Since you own had it for over a week it is unlikely to be this.
A canker sore will run its course within about 12 days, while these other lumps usually second longer.
You should see a dentist, an oral surgeon, an oral pathologist even a periodontist to have it removed and biopsied.
