Possible gum infection contained by child?

My 9 year old daughter have been complaining of a toothache for a few days. I've be giving her children's tylenol, and orajel. I called the dentist to engineer an appt. and they cannot see her until monday. I was wondering if anyone could put in the picture me (from experiance) if they think it may be a gum infection. Her gum in close proximity the tooth that bothers her is red and a bit swollen. She said her jaw hurts whenever she eat or talks, and her obverse looks a little puffy. :( Any suggestions as to what I could do to assistance her until the dentist can see her? Thanks for any help.


Answers:    At 9 years aged, it's difficult to say it's an abscess, but it could be an infection created by lodged food, etc. If she have an amalgam filling within, she will have an infection below the amalgam padding and the tooth. These infections are usually low grade and do not show up minus removing the amalgam, exposing the infection. The liquid mercury leaching out of the amalgam is supposed to hold on to these infections from getting too large.

I suggest you floss the teeth to clear sure there is not something lodged nearby that is cause the problem. Another way to find rid of the infection is to use a product called NEEM OIL. This will carry rid of any bleeding and infection within a hours of daylight or two, but if the infection is caused by lodged food, you will have need of to remove that as well.

Sounds similar to she could have an abscess, and that is to say not something I would want to wait until Monday to hold checked out. Abscesses can be very chancy. I remember a story a year or so back where on earth a child died because of a tooth abscess. I would call another dentist and take her in nearby today! She needs an antibiotic directly, too. Waiting until Monday gives it a couple more days to fester.
