Root canalled tooth still sensitive/hurts on touch after a week?

Okay so, I had an infection surrounded by my 2nd molar.

I went the first time and they removed some of the nerves, simply to calm the tooth down and to prevent the constant spasm I was contained by. Then I went subsidise a week later and they took the rest out, and afterwards last week they finally finished everything and prepared it for the crown...

It's be a week and a half or so since next, and now I suddenly own pain on the departed side of the tooth when I touch it (it doesn't hurt otherwise, and it doesn't really hurt that bad to get going with, but there's unambiguously some sort of pain on the not here side when I touch it, either when biting down or of late touching it with a finger.)

Is this majority? I know that they said the tooth will be very sensitive and I should take heed with it (I didn't want the temp crown because the bite be off and it be bothering me so they just said not to drink on that side and i'll be fine..) Should I call and take it checked out anyways? or is it just because the tooth is sensitive?

Answer:
Pain when biting is not a pious thing on a root canalled tooth, it could possibly stingy the root is fractured. If it were soreness within the gum, usually that tends to bit by bit get better, and in a week or two should be, under common circumstances resolved. I wouldn't have a crown put on that tooth until the throbbing issue is solved. You don't want to add the expense of a crown whent he foundation is shaky at best. See if your dentist can filch the tooth MORE out of occlusion and fit you with a pro tem to see if the tooth calms down. Fractures are intricate to detect, xrays won't show it, especially if it is small, but have your DDS hold on that long-term crown until you know for sure what you have get. (If you couldn't stand the bite of temporary crown, how much worse would a unalterable one be)
Good luck! Hope it all works out ably for you :o)
they told you it was ok not to seize a temporary crown? that doesn't come across right. But i think you should christen your dentist and tell them whats up. I have 2 root canals, nad mine enjoy never hurt a week afterwards. Usally not even a day after.
Well if it is bothering you, you should ring and explain what type of feeling/pain you are in. Otherwise, you could other just skulk until your next pop in when they put in the crown. I have 3 root canals on my front teeth, and I remember it be definately a bit senstive and painful. Sorry I couldn't be more abet, but if I were you I'd newly call the dentist and see what they articulate about it.
until you enjoy the crown in place you will be prone to sensitivity from the surrounding tissues. The root, audacity of the tooth itself has be removed, so it isn't the tooth that hurts,it is referred pain from the surrounding tissues. Once you enjoy the crown on, those will be protected and you should have no more difficulty.
When is your subsequent appt to set the permanent crown? If it is smaller amount than a week and you are not in too much aching, you can wait. But if it is still sensitive to cold or hot, you should grasp it checked out b/c there might be a problem. It should be somewhat sore, but not unbearable.
