Is mouthwash supposed to sting?
My question, is the stinging a good thing? Does that mean that the mouthwash is "working"?
Answer:
Yes it is defintly working. I have that same problem when I use mouthwash.. it makes me feel great to know that its killing all the germs and bacteria and fighting my bad breath!! ha ha...
Yes. The stinging means it's working on killing bacteria in your mouth. Once it stops stinging, then you know it's done and your mouth is clean.
yes that means its working i use the minty fresh it always burns just a bit
A little bit of tingling/stinging is okay, but if it's very painful or severe stinging then you should stop using it. If your gums are in bad shape (bleed when you brush your teeth, etc) then the stinging could just be a result of that. Check with your dentist if you're concerned though...
I do not know if it is working but if it isn't do you have an alsers because they sting.
i don't know if its good or not but it happens to me and i use a common one..can't recall the name, but you can dillute it with some water if it bugs you too much, thats what i do becasue the mintyness is overpowering
The stinging or burning feeling from using a NON-alcohol mouthrinse is not good. There could be many reasons why the stinging or burning feeling is occuring...is the inside of your mouth red? See you dentist. Also, witch hazel is not suppose to cause stinging or burning feelings...it is to sooth.
