Wisdom Teeth! Why me?

Is it true if you dont take out your wisdom your teeth will become crooked? I dont want my straight teeth to become crooked. Does it hurt when you take it out? My wisdom teeth is not completly out..is in the process to pop out. I can see the whtie teeth a little bit.

Answer:
It's actually not that bad. A lot of dentists give complete anesthesia these days so you won't even be awake for the process. During healing, you look like a chipmunk and basically starve to death because all you can eat is Jello, but it doesn't hurt that much unless you refuse to take your pain meds.
no they dont make your teeth crooked in every case, i have em since a year now, my teeth are perfectly strate, and yea it hurts like a ***** to get them removed, thats wat iv heard
I've never had my wisdom teeth out, my dentist said there was enough room for them in my mouth. Everyone's mouth is different, though, if you don't have enough room for them they probably will make your teeth crooked. You should probably check with your dentist for his advice.
They only take your wisdom teeth out if they are themselves crooked or angled in a way that will cram the rest of your teeth together.

Your dentist will take xrays that will clearly show the direction your wisdom teeth are going in and whether or not they can stay.

My top two wisdom teeth are coming in straight so I can keep them, but I had to have my bottom two removed because they were at such an angle that my whole jaw would have been very damaged had they stayed.

It's not the most pleasant of things to have a wisdom pulled, but they will give you anesthesia or put you under entirely. You wont feel anything until the numbing wears off. They'll give you a prescription afterwards for the pain if necessary.
I just had mine out on Wednesday. The pain is bearable. the swelling on the other hand is horrible. When my brother saw me this morning his first reaction was OMG. and then proceeded to make fun of me. But i guess its better than being in terrible pain...
Why you? Because you are human. And yes wisdom teeth can and do change the alignment of the other teeth in your mouth. A lot of people just wait until they start to emerge and then go in and have them yanked. It is more painful to put up with them for years than it is to have a dentist take them out. So if you don't have a dental plan, get one and if you can't get one then start saving your money honey cause it won't be cheap.
Take them out now before it comes out all the way.

Everyone is different - the first wisdom tooth I had pulled, took me out of work for a week.

The second, I felt fine and even went to work later on that day.

It reall depends on the dentist and the procedure they follow, I strongly suggest you get recommendations from people who have had it done.
well it depends on the condition and usually there is less space for it to errupt in ints natural or normal position and therefore it causes crowding and various malocclusions and therefore its advisable to get it extracted if its causing crowding.since it doesnt takes part in functional occlusion and movements it can be extracted whenever required the need of doing it!
No matter what teeth you pull out; your remaining teeth will not become crooked. The only way permanent teeth could possibly become crooked is if you wear a partial and don't wear it. The other teeth next to it might shift. You have any tooth pulled out by the dentist and it's going to hurt but it's better than going through weeks of pain and agony. Some time wisdom teeth don't have to come out but I knew mine were bothering me when I couldn't even chew food out. Worst thing was that I had to have them pulled soon after my son was born.
The majority of people have wisdom teeth. If your mouth shape will not accomodate your wisdom teeth, then your teeth will become crooked. Your dentist should be able to tell you. If you can accommodate 4 more teeth, then you can leave them in. They can be harder to keep clean since they are in very hard places to reach. They can get cavities just like other teeth. If your dentist advises that you have your wisdom teeth removed, go to an oral surgeon's office. They can put you to sleep, you will not feel or hear a thing. You will have a prescription for pain medication. I would take them for the first day after extraction. On the second, see how you tolerate the pain. But take them if you need them. Your wisdom teeth are coming in, but do you know in what position? You might want to go to your dentist and have a new panoramic x-ray taken to see the position of your wisdom teeth. It they are going to come in sideways (impacted), it is best to have them removed, you will only have problems. Bottom line, go to your dentist, have the x-ray done. If you are on dental ins. and they will pay for your panoramic x-ray have it done at your dental office. If not, the oral surgeon's office should do one at your exam and not charge you or your insurance. I've had mine removed, and was put to sleep. Do not remember a thing. I was sleepy that day and laid around the house after the extractions. After that, I was fine. Everyone is different when it comes to all things. Take all advice with a grain of salt.
every one gets wisdom teeth and almost every one has to get them pulled. your not the only one. don't worry about it. you don't get them pulled till your like 17 or 18. you can talk to your mom or dad if they had theirs pulled and they'll tell u all about it. it doesn't hurt at all. they numb your mouth.
my mom had her wisdom teeth out
they put her to sleep the whole time
but after, she said, it hurt
she looked so scary cause they put cotton in your mouth to stop the bleeding and then they wrap your head in like this weird thing
its scary
she couldnt talk after that for a few hours
